No 1. was recorded back in 2017 when I lived in Kaneohe, a quiet town on the windward side of O'ahu. I had a Petrof upright piano that had a very sweet and simple sound. I explored a few different interpretations, and for one of them Arvo Pärt came into my mind, so I dedicated it to him.
